Build a Mobile App that Solves a Real World Problem

Vision:

Using our programming skills, Youtube, and our followers’ input, we aim to build a mobile app that will positively impact our community. Right now, we have two ideas we are excited about developing.

  1. An app that gets people out and exploring. You can leave messages at specific locations that only your friends can see when they’re actually there. It’s like a digital treasure hunt that encourages people to get out, explore new places, and connect in real life.

  2. An app to help students take better notes. We want to create something that makes it easier for everyone to keep up with classes. This app uses AI to listen to lectures, highlight the important stuff, and help you study. We’ve already started playing around with some of the tech, and the results are super promising.

Proposed Itinerary

  • Watch YouTube tutorials on AI-driven apps that convert speech to text.

  • Study existing note-taking apps to identify strengths, weaknesses, and unique features we can include.

  • Complete online courses on mobile app development, with an emphasis on app design, AI integration, and backend development.

  • Start building small projects related to key features we want to include in the app.

  • Test the AI models’ performance in different environments to ensure reliability.

  • Begin Building the app and reach out to fans, friends & family to test it.

  • Put the app on the App Store and see initial reviews & reactions.

  • Make a video showing our progress to the BWTB community

  • Improve + Add Features and ask for feedback.

  • See how it goes and maybe we want to build something else!

Sponsors we are looking for (email bwtb@night.co)

  • Funding: To cover all the tech, tools, and hosting costs we’ll need to keep these apps running smoothly, plus a little extra for marketing so we can get the word out.

  • Partnerships: We’re looking for companies, schools, or organizations that want to be part of something cool and help us take these ideas further, for example, brilliant.org or other educational websites.

  • Technical Support: We could definitely use some help from folks who’ve been there before, especially when it comes to fine-tuning the AI or the location-based features.

  • Marketing and Outreach Assistance: We’ll need a hand with spreading the word, especially as we gear up for the full launch. The more people we reach, the bigger the impact we can make.

  • Testing Networks: We want to connect with groups who are down to test our apps, give honest feedback, and help us make them the best they can be.
